Layered clay carries the quiet passage of time. As my hands open each new form, a gentle stillness begins to breathe within it. What emerges is not splendor, but a calm presence that lives naturally beside everyday life.
I create my work in a small atelier next to my home in Onojo City, Fukuoka, Japan. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, and the subtle rhythm of daily life, I shape each piece slowly by hand. Using neriage, a traditional Japanese technique of layered clay, I allow patterns to emerge naturally rather than forcing control.
Each piece is made in limited numbers and intended to exist quietly in a space—bringing depth, balance, and a moment of stillness to everyday living.
